Clifton is a small, unhurried enclave sheltered between Lion’s Head and the Atlantic, with four consecutive white-sand beaches that consistently rank among the finest in the world. The fourth beach — a short walk from the property — attracts a discerning crowd and stays calm on days when the south-easter builds.
The suburb has no commercial strip to speak of, which is precisely the point. Camps Bay’s restaurants and bars are a five-minute drive, and the V&A Waterfront is fifteen. You are close enough to everything, and far enough from the noise to remember why you came.
Getting around
Free on-site parking is provided and the Atlantic Seaboard is best navigated by car. Camps Bay is a 5-minute drive; the V&A Waterfront, Green Point Stadium and the City Bowl are 15–20 minutes via De Waal Drive. Ubers are plentiful and reliable. The nearest taxi rank is in Sea Point, approximately 10 minutes on foot.
